Categorization Definitions

Allison – A collision between a moving vessel and a stationary object. It occurs when a moving vessel hits a stationary object, such as a pier, a buoy, or a rock.

3rd Party PD – "3rd party property damage." Property damage refers to physical damage to someone else's property. In this case, "3rd party" means that the property that was damaged does not belong to the insured (the policyholder) or the insurance company. Instead, it belongs to someone else entirely, who is referred to as the "3rd party."

Collision With Injury – An accident in which two or more vehicles collide and at least one person is injured as a result of the accident.

Crew Injury – An injury sustained by a member of a crew while working.

Passenger Injury – An injury sustained by a passenger while traveling in a vehicle.

Operator Death – The death of the person who is operating a vehicle.

Other PD – Refers to "other perils of the policyholder." It's a catch-all category for risks or hazards that are not specifically named or enumerated in the policy but are covered by the policy.

Prop Strike With Injury – Refers to an incident in which a boat's propeller strikes an object, resulting in injury to a person. This type of incident can occur when the propeller makes contact with the water, a dock, or another object while the boat is in motion.

Operator Injury – Refers to an injury sustained by the person operating a vehicle or piece of equipment.
